After connecting to Notion, Happycapy can help you read, edit, and create Notion pages, automatically organize notes, generate documents, and more.

Get Notion Token

Follow these 4 steps to set up your Notion integration:
1

Create Notion Integration

  1. Visit https://www.notion.so/my-integrations
  2. Click the + New integration button
  3. Fill in the Integration information:
    • Name: Choose any name (e.g., “Happycapy”)
    • Associated workspace: Select your workspace
    • Capabilities: Keep the defaults (Read content, Update content, Insert content)
  4. Once created, copy the Internal Integration Token (looks like ntn_xxxxxxxxxxxx)
2

Authorize Integration to Access Pages

Critical step: After obtaining the Token, you must authorize the Integration to access your pages!
For each page you want Happycapy to access:
  1. Open the page in Notion
  2. Click the ··· button (top right corner)
  3. Select Connections → Find your Integration (e.g., “Happycapy”)
  4. Click to confirm authorization
Each page you want Happycapy to access requires separate authorization. If a page has subpages, they will automatically inherit the permissions.
3

Get Page ID

To operate on a Notion page, you need to know the page’s ID:
  1. Open your Notion page
  2. Look at the URL in your browser’s address bar
  3. The last segment (32 characters) is the page ID
Example:
https://www.notion.so/My-Page-3065ab5584b5803e8572fcb253106e5a
The page ID is: 3065ab5584b5803e8572fcb253106e5a

FAQ

Check whether you completed the page authorization step. Remember to add your Integration in the Connections section of the page settings!Common causes:
  • Integration not added to the specific page
  • Wrong page ID
  • Integration deleted or Token regenerated
If the parent page has been authorized, child pages automatically inherit the permissions. However, if a subpage was created separately (not as a child), it requires separate authorization.
The Notion Integration Token does not expire unless you manually delete or regenerate it. You can use the same Token indefinitely as long as it remains active in your Notion settings.
Yes! You can create separate Integrations for different workspaces. Each workspace requires its own Integration and Token.

Security Best Practices

  • Only authorize the Integration for pages it needs to access
  • Regularly review authorized pages in your Notion settings
  • Don’t share your Token publicly
  • If you suspect a Token leak, regenerate it immediately in the Notion integrations settings
